LES Russia co-organized a session with representatives of the space business - LESI 2021 Plenary: The Business Side of the Space Race, organized within the framework of the LES International Virtual Annual Conference.

The session was lead by Masashi Sato, COO, SPACETIDE Foundation (Japan), and Dr. Sergey Zhukov, Co-Director of the Aeronet Working Group, Test Cosmonaut.

The speakers spoke about the transition from a government lead to a private sector run space race – and, as a result the important role of IP in investment to fuel this innovation. Also, the speakers noted the need for cross-border cooperation and knowledge exchange among specialists around the world.
