We had a very unusual Seminar held by LES Russia on “Peculiarities of licensing of content in accordance with Part IV of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation”.

Sergey Dorofeev, Secretary and International Delegate of LES Russia, attended LES USA and Canada Annual Conference.
He also participated in the Meeting of International Delegates and different committees.
The Conference gathered over 1300 participants.

June 17-20, 2007, Zurich

Natalia Karpova, President of LES Russia, Valery Medvedev, Vice-President of LES Russia, and Sergey Dorofeev, Secretary and International Delegate of LES Russia, attended the Annual LES International Conference. More than 650 delegates participated in the Conference.
Natalia Karpova and Sergey Dorofeev took part also in the Meeting of International Delegates.

Seminar "Problems and practice of IP marketing" was held by LES Russia in Moscow. The Seminar gathered 30 attendees from Russia and other ex-USSR countries.

On November 21, 2006, in Moscow, at premises of “Gorodissky & Partners” firm, the International Seminar on “Current problems of IP commercialisation”, organised by LES Russia, was held. The Seminar was attended by 34 participants from Russia and other countries.

Sergey Dorofeev, Secretary of LES Russia, and Svetlana Makeeva, International delegate of LES Russia, attended the annual LES USA/Canada Conference. More than 1500 delegates participated in the Conference and over 300 speakers gave presentations.
Sergey and Svetlana took part also in the Meeting of International delegates, Meeting of Presidents of European LES Societies where the Pan-European conferences of 2008 and 2009 were discussed, in the Meeting of LESI Council with Presidents of National societies and in the work of a number of LESI Committees.

June 16, 2006

Seminar "Problems and practice of realization of IP license agreements" was held by LES Russia in Moscow. The Seminar gathered 36 attendees from Russia and other ex-USSR countries.

Valery Medvedev, Vice-president of LES Russia, and Sergey Dorofeev, International delegate and Secretary of LES Russia, participated in LES-International Conference 2005 held in Munich (Germany). At the Plenary Sessions and 32 Workshops acute issues of cross-licensing strategy, evaluation of intangible assets, incubators for inventions, different IP business models, venture foundations etc. were in the focus of discussions.
The conference was attended by about 700 participants.

June 10-12, 2005

Sergey Dorofeev, International Delegate of LES Russia, took part in the Meeting of International Delegates (Munich, Germany). During the Meeting the matters of how to increase the role of National Presidents, possibilities of improving National Societies' cooperation and raising of members' number were discussed .
More than 100 delegates took part in the Meeting.

Annual Meeting of LES Russia was held in Moscow. It was considered and accepted the following documents:

• Report about the Society’s activity in 2004
• Report of Auditing Commission, and
• Draft plan of the Society’s activity for 2005

November 22-23, 2004

In Moscow it was held LES Germany/LES Russia joint conference, this two-day meeting devoted to commercializing of university IP and had a special meaning because of entire lack of legislation and bundle of problems in that field in Russia and other former USSR countries.

Sergey Dorofeev, International Delegate of LES Russia, participated at the 40th Annual Conference of LES USA/Canada in Boston (USA).
The Conference held Plenary sessions and Workshops that discussed strategy for cross licensing, licensing in sports, assessment of intangibles, incubators of inventions, various models for developing business using intellectual property, venture funds, etc.
Approximately 1700 specialists participated at the Conference.

Mr. Medvedev V.N., Vice-President of LES Russia, contributed into All-Russia Scientific and Practical Conference "Intellectual Property in Economics of Enterprises" organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation with report "Technology of Licensing".
More than 300 representatives from industrial enterprises and scientific organizations, and Russian business circles participated in the Conference.

Valery Medvedev, Vice-President of LES Russia and Sergey Dorofeev, Secretary of LES Russia have attended Licensing Executives Society Pan-European Conference "Intellectual Property - the Currency of Future" which was held in Prague on September 8-11, 2002. The conference included one add-on seminar, 4 plenary sessions and 4 workshop sessions (5 streams each).
The whole conference was very prosperous but we would like to note the presentations which are of particular success: "Incorporation of the Czech Economy into World Structures" by Evzen Kocenda, Economics Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, "Transformation of SkodaAuto into an up-to-date European Car Manufacturer" by Martin Ridky Assistant of Chairman of the Board of Management, SkodaAuto, Czech Republic and "David and Goliath: A Story of Budweiser Trade Marks" by Helena Lejtnarova Legal Department, responsibility for IP, Budejovicky Budvar National Corporation, Czech Republic.
Valery Medvedev also contributed into the conference by being one of the speakers in a workshop stream "Changes and Challenges for Licensing in Eastern Europe" which also was of particular interest for the participants.
We would like to congratulate our Czech friends on the successful organization of the conference. The trip to Prague and the conference were undoubtedly a memorable experience, not only in view of the plenary sessions and workshops, but also in visiting the wonderful city of Prague and in being invited to such splendid locations.

Seminar "Intellectual Property Assets Valuation" organized by LES Russia and LES Germany was held in Moscow on June 28, 2002. The seminar was attended by 47 participants from Germany, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kirgizia, Latvia, Ukraine and Russia.

International Delegates of LES Russia Mr. Medvedev V.N. and Mr. Dorofeev S.A. took part in Annual Conference of LES International held in Osaka, Japan.
The International Delegates Meeting discussed internal problems of the Society, issues of National Societies coordination, changes in Constitution, program of the Society development, reports of National Societies, reports of LESI management, meetings of LES committees, etc. In the Conference various presentations were made in the field of licensing, technology transfer, obtaining and protection of rights to various intellectual property objects, etc.
